History of the Port Sanilac Lighthouse

This lighthouse is still an active aid to navigation, but is now privately owned. There is a public access pier that stretches out into the lake right next to the tower with parking, so viewing is not a problem.

Note: The lighthouse is private property, please respect the owner's privacy and do not trespass.

Directions: From SR-25 in Port Sanilac, make a left onto Cherry Street and follow that to the water. The lighthouse is at the corner of Cherry and Lake Streets. There is a parking area with a breakwall that you can walk out onto to get various shots of the lighthouse.
