History of the Grand Island Rear Range Lighthouse

The lightstation for this area was first put into use in 1868. However, the first set of lights in this area were made of wood. The rear range light was replaced in 1914 with the current tower. It was made of conical steel and stands 64 feet tall. If you have any other information on this lighthouse. Please email me.

Directions: From Route 28 heading west into Christmas, the lighthouse sits on the south side of the road.
