History of the Cobourg East Breakwater Lighthouse

This is not technically a lighthouse at all, but it is an aid to navigation. The Cobourg East Breakwater light marks the bustling Port of Cobourg. Inside the breakwater was a ton of sailboats, etc. Even the Canadian Coast Guard had a Search and Rescue base located here.

Directions: From the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way - Highway 401), exit at 474 which is Route 45. Head south into Cobourg.) At the intersection of Route 2, make a right, and then a left onto 3rd Street. Follow 3rd Street south to the marina. The lighthouse sits at the end of the breakwater.
