History of the Bass Harbor Lighthouse

The Bass Harbor lighthouse marks the entrance to Bass Harbor which houses a quaint little fishing village. The lighthouse sits on the grounds of Acadia National Park, and is accessible by car.

Directions: From the tiny Town of Bass Harbor, Maine, follow Route 102A south. At the point where Route 102a turns left, stay straight and follow Lighthouse Road south. This road will end at a parking area for the lighthouse.
