History of the Port Clinton Lighthouse

This lighthouse was an original range light that sat on the east bank of the Portage River. It has since been moved to the grounds of a marina, but not completely. What you see in the photograph is only the upper section of the lighthouse. From the books I have read, I guess it is possible to get onto the grounds of the marina to take a picture, but I snapped off this picture from the bridge across the Portage River on Ohio Route 163.

Directions:The lighthouse was moved to Waterworks Park in Port Clinton on August 16, 2016.

Access: The Lighthouse is owned by the Port Clinton Lighthouse Conservancy. Grounds open. Tower closed.
