History of the Point Diablo Lighthouse

I apologize for the very distant shot of this light, but it was the only vantage point I had. It was take from across the straight leading into the bay. I used the biggest lens I had, the 500mm telephoto. It clearly wasn't enough. It sits on the headlands of the Golden Gate Recreation area.

Directions: This lighthouse sits on the side of the Marin Headlands (Golden Gate National Recreation Area). The point is almost impossible to access from the headlands. THe best view would be from the water via a tour service. I took these pictures from across the straight on Lincoln Blvd. using a 500mm telephoto lens.
