This is one of Lake Michigan's typical pierhead lighthouses complete with the elevated walkway. The first lighthouse was built in the 1872, but was rebuilt in 1903. While there, the lake started showing its power with waves crashing over the pier.
Directions: From I-196 heading north into South Haven, exit at Phoenix Street. Follow Phoenix Street west towards the lake. It will change names to Water Street. Continue to follow that to the lake.
